The Experience

Two oceans meet at Land's End. So do the fish.

Cabo San Lucas sits where the Pacific collides with the Sea of Cortez, a place Jacques Cousteau called the aquarium of the world. Bait stacks up along the canyons and seamounts just minutes from the marina, and the big predators follow. Nowhere else on earth are you hooked up to a marlin this close to your morning coffee.

Your day starts at the Cabo San Lucas Marina, where the crew has already loaded bait, ice and a light breakfast. By the time the sun clears the ridge you are running past El Arco with lines set, lunch aboard and the fabled banks ahead. These are the same waters that host the Bisbee's Black and Blue, the richest fishing tournament in the world.

  • Private charters only. Your group, never strangers
  • Tournament-grade tackle, rigged and ready
  • Crew that coaches beginners and challenges veterans
  • Meals, beverages, and a chef available on request

The Yacht

A 65 foot Hatteras built to fight fish and spoil guests

Most boats in the fleet make you choose: a serious fishing machine or a comfortable ride. Ours refuses to. The cockpit runs a professional spread with a fighting chair on the centerline, while the salon behind it holds cream leather, cold air and a galley ready for lunch.

Between bites you are on the flybridge with the captain reading the water, or below in a private stateroom sleeping off the early start. On multi-day runs the yacht becomes your floating villa, anchored over grounds most day boats never reach.

The Calendar

When to fish Cabo San Lucas

There is no off season here, only different trophies. Striped marlin stack up through winter and spring, the big blues and blacks arrive with warm summer water, and yellowfin tuna never really leave. Pick your month and we will tell you exactly what to expect.

Winter and spring

Striped marlin season. Double-digit shot days happen every year, and gray whales cruise the coast from December through April.

Summer

Warm blue water brings the heavyweights: blue marlin, black marlin and big schools of dorado, with roosterfish prowling the beaches inshore.

Fall

The best of everything. Billfish, wahoo and cow-class yellowfin, plus tournament energy across town in October. Book this window early.

All-Inclusive

Step aboard with nothing but sunscreen

All-inclusive is a promise, not a package tier. One rate covers the yacht, the crew, the tackle, the licenses, bait, drinks and food, with a chef available if you want one. No clipboards at the dock, no surprise fuel charges, no tip jar theatrics. You show up, we fish.

What the dock talk sounds like

Three striped marlin before lunch, and lunch was better than most restaurants in town. My father-in-law has fished his whole life and said it was the best-run boat he has ever been on.

Mark R.Scottsdale, Arizona

We booked a three day expedition for my husband's 50th. The crew treated our group like family, the staterooms were spotless, and we came home with a cooler of tuna and dorado.

Jennifer L.Newport Beach, California

I had never held a fishing rod before this trip. The mate coached me through a dorado and then a striped marlin. I understand the obsession now.

What is included in an all-inclusive fishing charter?

Everything you need for the day is aboard before you arrive: tournament-grade rods and reels, Mexican fishing licenses for every guest, live bait, lures and rigging, and a professional captain and mate. Full-day charters include a light breakfast snack and prepared lunch, with chef-prepared meals available upon request. Beverages are provided. Fish cleaning and vacuum packing are offered depending on the quantity and volume of the catch, since a big day can take a few hours at the dock. You bring sunscreen, a hat and a camera.

What fish can we catch in Cabo San Lucas?

Cabo San Lucas is known as the Marlin Capital of the World. Depending on the season you can target striped marlin, blue marlin, black marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado (mahi mahi), wahoo and roosterfish, all within reach of the marina.

When is the best time of year to fish in Cabo?

There is no off season in Cabo. Striped marlin fishing peaks from November through June. Blue and black marlin, dorado and wahoo are strongest from June through November. Yellowfin tuna are caught year-round. Whatever month you visit, there is a world-class fishery waiting.

How many guests can join a charter?

The yacht is licensed for up to 8 guests, and every charter is completely private. It is only your group aboard, whether you are 2 people or 8.

Do we need fishing experience?

No experience is needed. The crew handles rigging, baiting and boat positioning, and coaches first-timers through every fight. Families and complete beginners land trophy fish with us all the time.

How do multi-day charters work?

Multi-day expeditions run 2 to 5 days. You sleep aboard in private air-conditioned staterooms while we position the yacht over distant, lightly fished grounds such as the Gordo Banks and the San Jaime Bank. Every itinerary is planned around your group, the season and the bite.

Can we keep the fish we catch?

Yes. Table fish such as tuna, dorado and wahoo can be kept. Cleaning and vacuum packing are offered depending on the quantity and volume of the catch, since a big day can take a few hours at the dock. We can also point you to local restaurants that will cook your catch the same night. Billfish are released healthy at the boat, following responsible sportfishing practice in Cabo.

Where does the charter depart from?

We depart from the Cabo San Lucas Marina in Baja California Sur, Mexico, minutes from the fabled waters of Land's End where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Exact slip details are confirmed with your booking.
